KIT Energy Research at the 2026 Hannover Messe
-
From April 20 to 24, 2026, the KIT Center for Energy will be at the Hannover Messe: Our team will be on site in Hall 11, Booth B06 throughout the entire week of the fair and will be available for discussions, networking, and conversations about joint projects.
The joint KIT booth will showcase selected exhibits from energy research that address the key challenges of the energy transition and demonstrate high transfer potential. The focus is on four technologies:
- Thecompressorless gas turbine utilizes pressure-boosted combustion and enables more efficient power generation with reduced system complexity.
- As a key component of future fusion power plants, the tritium breeding blanket addresses tritium production and energy generation.
- The “photreon” photoreactor panel demonstrates an approach to the direct production of hydrogen from water and sunlight—without an external power supply and with the potential for scalable production.
- The open-flow electrolysis cell represents continuous electrochemical processes and new approaches in the field of power-to-chemicals.
We would be happy to provide you with further insights into the breadth of energy research at KIT—from basic research to application-oriented technologies.
